Nick and I bravely attempted to have Luke dye Easter Eggs for the first time. He did a great job thanks to having some practice yesterday at Ms. Lori's. Luke was very proud of the job he did and would barely let us have the eggs back to put into the fridge!

Happy 2nd Birthday Luke!
Our little guy turned 2 on Wednesday, February 10th and we had a little party for him yesterday. It was a Thomas the train theme of course! Luke loves everything to do with trains, especially Thomas. We decorated the house the night before and when he woke up and saw it he said WOW! When asked how old he is, Luke has replied that he is 20 then most of the time he laughs. :)
Both sides of the family were able to celebrate minus Uncle Dean. We missed him on this fun day!
Our cake was made by the most wonderful cake maker, Joyce who helps out at Heritage where I teach. She made this Thomas cake for Luke. Not only did it look great but it tasted fantastic as well.

Butterfly Pavillion!
Saturday mornings for the past few weekends has turned out to be a time that Nick, Luke and I have gone out to visit a fun place around Denver. We have been to the zoo, aquarium and yesterday the Butterfly Pavillion. I took Luke there earlier in the summer and Nick had never been. It was fun to see how much more interested he was in the bugs there and especially loved the tarantulas and cockroaches! It took Luke awhile to take interest in the butterflies and not run away from them. At least we did not have to worry about him stepping on them!

It's a BOY!!!
We had our 20 week ultrasound today and found out that will will be having another baby boy. This came as no surprise to either Nick or myself as we always thought that we would have boys. Baby was moving around lots and we got several good pictures from the ultrasound. The first one is of the profile and the next is of our boy crossing his legs. The ultrasound tech told us twice that he had good strong legs... I guess just like Nick's. :) Enjoy!

Christmas in Mammoth
We left Denver on December 23, just barely making it out with Luke getting over croup (his 3rd time having it). We drove up the same day to Mammoth, a 5 hour drive, with my mom and brother Dean. This meant that we were up in the beautiful mountains for all of Christmas Eve. We went to the local mountian church for services and then had dinner at our cabin. Our family friends, the Butlers were there to join us and my dad arrived just in time for dinner. (He had to work on Christmas Eve).
Then, we woke up and opened presents the next morning. Luke got some more train toys from Santa.
Luke also had fun dancing to the music. Below is a video of him dancing to "Rocking Around the Christmas Tree."
