Turkey Day

The Hilty family and Luke
We celebrated Luke's first Thanksgiving over at Grandma and Papa Belitz' home along with Aunt Jill, Uncle Vann, Curt, Kelly, Kyla and Carter. We had a great time talking and catching up. Luke enjoyed his first homemade mash potatos made by Uncle Chris. Luke also had a feast of 3 stage 2 jars of baby food along with the mash potatoes. He sure did not want to miss out on the eating fun!

Luke and Dad play with the ball popper.

ABC drum

Luke loves to play with his ABC drum. It also says the alphabet in Spanish as well but I think we will work on English first. :)

Tongue in cheek...

Today, Luke-- the Chubby Drooler currently and the Chubby Wailer that was-- marked the day at which he has officially spent more time outside the womb than in it. Yes, today he turned 9 months, which seems like about 2 years given how his Dad feels most of the time. For her part, Mom is too tired to notice the passing of time or large dishware items in her way (Pyrex REALLY shatters, as we found out today courtesy of Kim's elbow). Anyway, we celebrated with a good, warm bath this evening, which Luke thoroughly enjoyed. This is important, because he used to be terrified of the water and Dad was having visions of just hosing him down in the backyard when he became too big to force into the tub. But now, as you can see, he spashes around with great enthusiasm and even pulls some funny faces in his revelry...we're not sure what he was thinking at the time we took the picture, but Dad is vaguely considering checking whether or not Gene Simmons was in Denver circa May 2007...

Leafy Fun!

Before the cold weather sets in, we enjoyed playing in the leaves in our backyard. Luke loved looking and playing with them. What a fun fall day!
