Nick and I headed out after Wes' 1 year party to Boston and Maine on a vacation - just the two of us! My parents flew out from CA to spend the week with the boys while we were away. We left on Wednesday and headed into a large storm on the east coast which we did not know about. As we were approaching Boston/Logan airport we kept circling around and the pilot at times suddenly put on the gas and we went forward very quickly! As we were doing this our pilot informed the passengers that we were being diverted to Connecticut. When we landed we heard others talking that there was a tornado in the area. After an hour layover we landed in Boston midst lightening and thunder. Finally we reached our bed and breakfast in Kennebunk, Maine at 1 AM exhausted but safe.
The next day after a wonderful breakfast we did a quick tour of the town.
Then we drove up the coast to Bar Harbor. On our way I had to stop and have my lobster roll, or as they say in Boston "lobsta roll." YUM!

We toured around downtown Bar Harbor aka "Baa Haa Baa" (said with a Boston accent). Which was as beautiful and quaint as we remembered it to be. It was worth the drive up the coast.
Our lobster dinner with the bibs of course!
After dinner treat!
On Friday, we toured Acadia National Park. It was a bit chilly but the rain held off until the perfect time so we were able to hike and explore the coast.

On Saturday morning we woke up at 6 AM to head on our 5 hour drive back down to Boston for my reunion BBQ and party that night. It was great to catch up with my friends from BC who live in the area.

Meanwhile back at home in Denver, the boys were enjoying the full benefits of being with Grandy and Grandad Damuth. My mom said Luke was at "Camp Grandad" because Grandad took him out to ride his balance bike, throw the football, toss and dribble the basketball, kick the soccer ball and many other activities several times a day. He had the best time but was exhausted by the end of it. Nick and I can't thank them enough for taking care of the boys for 5 days so we could get away. Grammy Joanne also watched the boys Sunday and through the night. Thanks!
