Lights at Chatfield

After the zoo and naps we headed off to see the Christmas lights at Chatfield.  So beautiful!

Me like cookies!!!

Zoo day with Grandad

We braved the somewhat chilly temps and had a great time at the zoo...4 hours total!  It was a perfect day because there were not many people there.  The quote of the day...Luke said, "Mom, those monkeys with the red bums have a rash."

Gobble Gobble Gobble!

With 22 people over for Thanksgiving it was non stop fun.  Luke loved spending time with his cousins Kevin and Zach and everyone had a chance to catch up.  The food was great and the company even better.  Luke was really asking lots of questions about the turkey and Wes gobbled it all up.  SO fun!!!

It's a Small World...

Our first stop for our week of fun was at Disneyland.  Since my Uncle works there he graciously let us in for free!  Yipee!!!  My mom offered to keep Wes at home so it was my brother Dean, Luke and me.  When we walked through the gates we got so lucky right away because many of the charaters were just walking up to take pictures.  I was "that mom" and gently pushed Luke up to the front of the Minnie line to get his picture with her.  All the others we kindly waited our turn.

After spending 3 plus hours at Disneyland... Dean who had never been to California Adventure wanted to take a spin through.  Luke wanted to go home... Take a look at this picture... classic!
Too much fun!

Snow fun!

There's no better way to spend a 50 degree day then to play in the snow and build a snowman!  Or better yet, a pirate pumpkin snowman.  We got bundled up and headed out front. Wes loved the snow and even tried to eat it.  He then crawled over to the snowman and helped Luke and me.

On another note... Wes is still teething and has been getting his molars for 6 weeks now....ouch!  We have been waking up with him 2 times a night and staying up for an hour or so each night.  The motrin helps but does not take away the pain all the time.  He is now working on molar #4 but still needs to cut all of them entirely through. Other then that... he is a happy boy who likes to say daddy, doggie and give raspberries to Luke and me.

Luke still loves shoveling, playing with his trains, hide and go seek and finds any neighborhood kid to play with.

A haunting we will go...

All I can say is WOW!!! Highlands Ranch sure has lots of kids.  I took Luke and Wes out with the neighbors but soon realized that Wes was not feeling well.  Off I went with Luke.  Sweet neighbor Madeline took Luke's hand the entire way so he did not get lost in the crowd.
