Dyeing Easter eggs

Love that smile from Luke and Wes trying to grab those eggs!

We headed out of the house over to Grammy and Poppa Belitz' house to dye Easter eggs.  We had 3 showings on our house that day so it was fun to spend the day over there.  Luke really got the idea of the task at hand and Wes was busy trying to grab the eggs after they were done.

Anyone want to buy a bungalow?

Our house is for sale!  We have had it up on the market for less then a week and already have had 8 showings.  Photos were taken on Thursday and the link to our house is below.

Spring Day!

It was a great day with sunny warm weather and filled with lots of spring activities...

First we attended palm Sunday at our church.  Wes loved waving the palm fronds around to the music.
Then, we were off to Park Meadows Mall where we took pictures with the Easter bunny.  Luke loved him but Wes was not so sure.  He looked up at him and then started to cry.  On a side note, Nick said that the Easter bunny looks scary so he sympathizes with Wes.

 Finally, we went to the petting zoo in Grammy and Poppa's neighborhood.  There were llamas, alpacas, ducks and rabbits... even a pregnant horse!  Both boys loved looking at the horses but Luke did not want to touch the larger animals.

Now that Wes is starting to get into Luke's toys, Luke is not really appreciating it.  The most prized toy is Luke's train table.  Wes loves standing up and watching Luke go around the table with his trains.  Tonight, Wes took apart the train tracks and Luke was very upset.  He said, "Wes, I don't love you anymore! You are naughty!!!"  After everything was put back together, Luke was much happier

It has been 2 full weeks since we have made a change in daycare and Wes is doing so much better!  He is smiling, "talking" more and even doing his steamroller (rolling from back to tummy to back).  On Mondays and every other Friday he is with our church nursery lady Ms. Tina.  Yesterday she took him to her red hat society luncheon at the Village Inn.  I wish I had a camera to see him with all those ladies!  The rest of the week he is with Grammy.  He is a happy boy which makes a happy mama!

On another note... our house is on the market as of yesterday!  If anyone wants to buy a cute bungalow in Wash Park let us know.  We have our first showing tomorrow and pictures are coming soon.  We left Nick on Saturday and headed out to the Children's Museum so that he could clean up the yard.  He got lots of work done and we had a blast.  Luke never wants to leave the museum and I practically had to carry him out so we could go home for nap time.  He enjoyed playing in the fire truck, running around as a worm in the over/under room and got messy with the bubbles.  Wes was in my ergo baby carrier on my back and he was really looking around at all there was to see.  When I got him out he liked putting whatever Luke gave him to hold into his mouth.

The week before my spring break my Mom came on an last minute trip.  After she found out that Wes was not doing well at daycare she booked a flight and was here for the week.  Since starting back at work in January Wes had gone from the 50% in height and weight to the 10%.  He was also not "talking" nearly as much and had stopped rolling over.  When I left him at his daycare he cried so much that it sounded like he was going to throw up.  He did not sleep and would not eat.  Basically, he needed his mama.  (we still love our daycare and Luke still loves her, it was just not a good match for Wes right now.)

So, with my mom here, he started these amazing naps... 4 hours total for morning and afternoon.  He also started drinking out of a bottle with a record of 9 oz one day.  He was smiling and laughing and there were no tears when I left.  Our friends who don't have kids yet even noticed a difference at church last Sunday.  They asked why was he so happy?  All of this has been tearing at my heart and making it even harder to go to work each day.  Now that we have made a change in daycare combined with the fact that there is only 8 weeks left to teach makes it better.  For the rest of the time I am working we have a lady coming to our home on Mondays and Fridays to watch Wes.  We know her from our church nursery.  He had a good first day with her yesterday.  The other 3 days Grammy Joanne will be watching him.  I can't thank her enough for taking the unexpected time out of her schedule to take care of our Wes.  This was truly a crisis situation.
