It's a BOY!!!

We had our 20 week ultrasound today and found out that will will be having another baby boy. This came as no surprise to either Nick or myself as we always thought that we would have boys. Baby was moving around lots and we got several good pictures from the ultrasound. The first one is of the profile and the next is of our boy crossing his legs. The ultrasound tech told us twice that he had good strong legs... I guess just like Nick's. :) Enjoy!

Luke's first official haircut

I decided to take Luke to get his first professional haircut just shy of his 2nd birthday. I had been trimming his front and around his ears for the past year or so. Nick and Gammy Joanne met us at Jack and Jill salon where Luke got to sit in a yellow Jeep for his haircut. He did not like it at first but then was a camp. I asked to keep it longer but it got cut on the short side... it's hair so it will grow.

Christmas in Mammoth

We left Denver on December 23, just barely making it out with Luke getting over croup (his 3rd time having it). We drove up the same day to Mammoth, a 5 hour drive, with my mom and brother Dean. This meant that we were up in the beautiful mountains for all of Christmas Eve. We went to the local mountian church for services and then had dinner at our cabin. Our family friends, the Butlers were there to join us and my dad arrived just in time for dinner. (He had to work on Christmas Eve). Then, we woke up and opened presents the next morning. Luke got some more train toys from Santa. Luke also had fun dancing to the music. Below is a video of him dancing to "Rocking Around the Christmas Tree."

Christmas in Denver

Before we left town for Christmas with my family, we spent time with Nick's family for an early Christmas celebration over at my inlaws home. It was great to get together, eat a yummy dinner and open up presents early. Here is a family picture from that night.

Since we were leaving Denver early Luke got to open up a present a day before we left. Many of the presents were additions to his Thomas train table which he loves and plays with a lot!

Santa!

To no ones surprise... it happened again! Luke cried on Santa's lap. Nick and I were suspecting that this might happen and so to avoid further anxiety I stood in line while Nick distrated Luke. When the time came, Nick put Luke on Santa's lap, we got our picture and here it is. Hopefully Luke is not scarred for life!

Santa "roar?"

I took Luke to see Santa on Wednesday and he cried too much to take a picture. I kept talking to him about Santa and we read some books ahead of time so I was hopeful that it would be a successful trip. He held on to me so tight and shook so much when we got up to see Santa that I did not have the heart to make him sit for Santa right there. He also thinks that Santa says "roar" which is too funny!

Happy Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving this year with Nick's family and had a great time with his aunt and uncle and Nick's cousins. Luke got an extra special treat this year becuse his great-grandmother flew out from St. Louis for the holiday. This was the first time that she had met Luke. It also had been over 2 years since she last made it out to Denver.
